PTI leader Mian Aslam Iqbal, who is also the party’s candidate for the Punjab chief minister, has said that electables in the province have been “eliminated” by Imran Khan’s narrative.
“The vote is only for Imran Khan […] I request that this mandate should be respected,” he said in a media talk outside Peshawar High Court.
Aslam said that he had departed from Lahore after an anti-terrorism court granted him bail on May 7, adding that the complainants would not be able to identify him in any footage related to the May 9 riots.
“They have filed numerous cases against me and I have received protective bail in all cases,” he said, adding that justice should be upheld.
