LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) is all set to conduct the secondary school certificate (SSC) annual examination-2024 from March 1.

The board has announced that 543,400 candidates will appear in the exams, out of whom 344,909 are in part 1 and 198,419 in part 2. The candidates have already received their roll number slips and can check their examination centres online.

The board has established 854 examination centres across its jurisdiction, covering the districts of Lahore, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Kasur, and Pattoki. The board has also deputed mobile inspectors and chairman squad to monitor the examination centres closely and prevent any malpractice or cheating.

In addition, the board has organised training workshops for the teachers who will perform the examination duties as superintendents, deputy superintendents, invigilators, and paper setters. The workshops will be held at different venues in each district from Feb 20 to 26.

BISE Lahore Chairman Dr. Anser Azhar will participate as a special guest in the workshops and address the teachers on their roles and responsibilities.

The board has urged all the teachers to attend the workshops and follow the guidelines.

The BISE has also appealed to the candidates, parents, and the public to cooperate with the board in conducting the exams in a fair and safe manner.
