QUETTA: Six people, including three labourers, were killed in two separate accidents in Quetta on Sunday, according to police.

A car and motorcycle collision on Airport Road resulted in the death of three people.

The victims died on the spot as a result of the accident, which was caused due to speeding, the police said.

Police and rescue officials arrived at the scene and shifted the victims to a hospital, where they were declared dead.

They have been identified as Bilal and Ahmed, who were riding motorbikes, while the third victim was Ulas Yar. Their bodies were handed over to the heirs after medico-legal formalities.

In the second accident, three labourers died while cleaning a well at Sabzal Road in the Uzbek Chowk area on the city’s outskirts.

According to police, the victims inhaled poisonous gases as they entered the well for cleaning.

They fell unconscious and died on the spot.

Two of the victims have been identified as Abdul Baqi and Abdul Wali, while the identity of the third victim could not be ascertained.
