Lara blasts media

AUCKLAND, March 3: West Indies batting star Brian Lara on Friday blasted New Zealand media following his arrival for Test series between the two countries.

Reporters have been dismissive of West Indies team, which trails 4-0 in the current one-day series.

“I wish media had a little bit more respect for West Indies cricket. You guys have won, let’s leave it at that. It’s a different form of the game coming up and if things go right we could turn it around,” he said.

The odds will be against tourists when they seek a face-saving win in final one-dayer in Auckland on Saturday.—Agencies
