LAHORE, March 3: The ruling PML is taking all possible measures to bring maximum people to its March 23 workers convention to be held on the Minar-i-Pakistan lawns.

President Pervez Musharraf is expected to be the chief guest.

However, in case it was not possible for him to turn up, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will be the guest of honour.

PML chief Chaudhry Shujaat Husain, chief ministers Pervaiz Elahi, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and Jam Muhammad and other important party leaders will be among the speakers.

The leadership is preparing the party for the 2007 general election and the participants are expected to be given guidelines to win people’s support for the ruling party.

Party’s district organisations have been given instructions to mobilise the masses for the convention.
