NAWABSHAH, March 3: The district administration of Nawabshah has completed verificaton of the record of property of former senator Asif Ali Zardari and on Friday appointed a receiver.

The record of property of Asif Ali Zardari was verified on the orders of the Accountability Court, Rawalpindi, to confiscate some of his property in Nawabshah, Sanghar and Hyderabad districts.

Sources in the district administration told Dawn that property of the former senator was verified by the Mukhtiarkar office through concerned tapedars and 56 acres of agricultural land from 1,300 acres of family land in Deh 76 Nusrat and a plot measuring 1,300 square yards in the Government Employees Housing Society were found.

It was further informed that district officer revenue Niaz Shaikh has appointed the Mukhtiarkar of Nawabshah as receiver of the property. Mukhtiarkar Abdul Qadir Unnar could not be contacted for comments.

FLOWER SHOW: District Nazim Faryal Talpur on Thursday inaugurated the “Flower Show and Science Exhibition” at the H. M. Khoja High School on Thursday which will continue till March 5.

Speaking on the occasion, the nazim said that the exhibition would provide entertainment to people and the district government would organize such events every year.
