BAHAWALPUR: Deputy Commissioner Zaheer Anwar Jappa has announced the schedule of the 19th Cholistan Jeep Rally to be held in coordination with the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) in Cholistan from Feb 20 to 25.

According to the announcement, the event’s inaugural ceremony will be held at the historic Noor Mahal on Feb 20, expected o be participated by caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

On Feb 21, the registration/technical inspection of vehicles and medical tests of the drivers and navigators will be conducted at the TDCP resort at Derawar Fort in Cholistan.

The qualifying round of all the categories will be held at Dilwash Stadium on Feb 22.

It was announced that the first round of the jeep rally in the “prepared” (men and women) drivers category, would be flagged off from Dilwash Stadium to the ruins of Jamgarh Fort on Feb 23.

The “stock” (men and women) category would be held from Dilwash Stadium to Bhijnot, followed by a spectacular display of fireworks and a cultural night the same evening (at Dilwash Stadium).

On Feb 25, the last day of the event, second round of the rally in the “prepared” (men and women) category will be held, besides dirt bike and truck races, followed by a prize-distribution ceremony.
