Iftikhar strikes twice

KARACHI, March 1: Iftikhar Ahmed scored twice including the decider as Pak PWD edged out United Hockey Club of Mirpurkhas 4-3 in Sindh Inter-clubs regional hockey championship on Wednesday.

Trailing 2-3 at the second half, Iftiqar chipped in with two goals within the span of two minutes (64,65) to give his team maximum points.

Pak PWD took lead when Atif Mir smashed a goal in the 16th minute of the first half while Shahbaz levelled the score for United HC two minutes later.

Aley Hasan made 2-1 in the 21st minute while Sufian neutralised the score as the match was tied 2-2 at the breather.—PPI
