LAHORE: The Punjab government has transferred Gujranwala Regional Police Officer Dr Haidar Ashraf and directed him to report to the Central Police Office for further directions.
He has been replaced by Special Protection Unit DIG Tayyab Hafeez Cheema.
A notification was issued here on Monday.
A police official said that Dr Haidar had requested the IGP to transfer him to look after the treatment of his daughter who has undergone multiple surgeries abroad.
