SWAT: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz provincial president Engineer Amir Muqam said here on Sunday that his party supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif would again put the country on the path to development after assuming power through public support in the February 8 elections.

He was addressing workers convention of the party in Matta. The event was attended by known political figures including Fazal Rehman Nono, Rahmat Ali Khan, Yahya Khan, former provincial minister Mohammad Ali Shah, and candidate for PK-10 Maqsood Ali Khan. On the occasion, several workers announced to quit their parties and join PMl-N.

Mr Muqam emphasised the resilience of PML-N in advocating for the people’s interests amidst adversity. “Talking about the forthcoming public meeting scheduled for February 1 in Mingora wherein Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz are slated to address a historic gathering at Grassy Ground, a huge number of people will attend it as they love PML-N leadership,” he said.

Excitement among the participants of the convention grew when he rallied support for PML-N, encouraging people to stand together under the party’s symbol ‘lion’ on February 8.

Mr Muqam pledged that his party would usher in a fresh era of development, peace and prosperity for Pakistan upon securing victory. “PML-N is seen as a force for good change, showing how it’s different from the bad plans of previous governments,” he said. He vowed to tackle pressing issues such as inflation, poverty, unemployment and lawlessness, projecting Nawaz Sharif’s potential reinstatement as prime minister after February 8 as a catalyst for transformative governance.

He envisioned a future where PML-N, with the support of the public, would work to fix differences between regions and start big development plans.

“All the supporters of PML-N and general public have to back the PML-N’s plan for a strong and successful Pakistan,” he said and showed hope for Nawaz Sharif’s comeback and the party’s promise to tackle the country’s problems.
