There were violent clashes overnight between Israeli forces and Palestinian fighters in the occupied West Bank’s Jenin city, local media reported, according to Al Jazeera.

Israeli forces raided various neighbourhoods in the city and arrested one Palestinian man.

The Palestinian state news agency, Wafa, reports that Israeli forces also destroyed monuments to deceased Palestinians and video footage shared by local media showed streets in the city torn up by Israeli military bulldozers.

During the clashes, Palestinian fighters targeted Israeli forces with explosive devices and gunfire, the Shehab news agency reports.
