The Palestinian Ministry of Education said that 4,551 students have been killed and 8,193 were injured since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7 on the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, Al Jazeera reports.

In a statement, the ministry said that the number of students who were killed in the Gaza Strip reached more than 4,510 and 7,911 others wounded. It indicated that 231 teachers and administrators were killed and 756 were injured in the Gaza Strip.

In the occupied West Bank, 41 students were killed and 282 others were injured, in addition to 85 others being arrested.

At least 281 government schools and 65 affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) were bombed in the Gaza Strip, which led to 83 of them being severely damaged and seven being completely destroyed. In the occupied West Bank, 38 schools were raided and vandalised.
