DERA GHAZI KHAN: A tribal elder and his two sons who ditched the PML-N at the eleventh hour ahead of 2018 general election, ironically, are again in the field on the tickets of the same party.

Belonging to Tamman Gorchani Lalgarh area of Jampur, Rajanpur district, Parvez Iqbal Gorchani, his sons Sher Afgan Gorchani and Sher Ali Gorchani, former deputy speaker of the Punjab Assembly, had betrayed the N-League at the time of allotment of symbols.

Gorchanis are candidates for PML-N, they ditched in 2018 at the 11th hour

They returned the party tickets and participated in election as independents on the ‘jeep’ symbol but they faced defeat at the hands of PTI candidates.

Parvez Iqbal Gorchani is in the run for PP-294, Sher Afgan Gorchani for PP-192 and Sher Ali Gorchani for PP-293.

It is rare that a father and two sons are vying for the same assembly.
