Iran’s foreign minister has said reported Israeli strikes on Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) personnel in Syria will not deter Tehran from operating across the region, Al Jazeera reports.
“The activities of Iranian military advisers in fighting terrorism and ensuring regional security will continue with strength,” Hossein Amirabdollahian wrote in a post on X.
“The Israeli regime is the main accomplice of terrorist movements and enemy number one of security across the region. Undoubtedly, the defeat of the Zionists against the will of the people in Gaza cannot be compensated by such cowardly terrorist actions.”
This is coming after the IRGC lost five members, including a senior commander, in a reported Israeli airstrike on Syria on Saturday, which came weeks after another strike that assassinated top commander Razi Mousavi.
