CHITRAL: Ten candidates are in the run for NA-1 Upper Chitral-cum-Lower Chitral including two women candidates Khadija Bibi of Awami National Party (ANP) and Syed Memoona Shah, an independent candidate.

The other candidates included Shahzada Iftikharuddin (PML-N), Abdul Latif (PTI), Senator Mohammad Talha Mehmood (JUI-F), Maulana Abdul Akbar (JI), Fazle Rabbi (PPP) and independent candidates Assadur Rehman, Mohammad Javed Khan and Mukhtar Nabi.

In the provincial assembly constituency PK-1 Upper Chitral, 15 candidates out of 40 validly nominated candidates remained in the election including Suraya Bibi (PTI), Siraj Ali Khan (PPP), Shakil Ahmed (JUI-F), Javed Hussain (JI), Ghulam Mohammad (PTI-P), Mohammad Wazir Khan (PML-N) and independent candidates Burhanuddin, Bibi Latifa, Syed Amir Hussain, Syed Jamal Shah, Gul Murad, Mukhtar Nabi, Naveed Sultan and Hizbullah.

Out of 28 validly nominated candidates in PK-2 Lower Chitral, only eight candidates opted to contest elections including Fatehul Mulk Ali Nasir (PTI), Saleem Khan (PPP), Shahzada Khalid Parvez (PTI-P), Faiz Mohammad Maqsood (JUI-F), Maghfirat Shah (JI), Iftikhar Hussain (ANP) and independent candidates Mohammad Hussain and Luke Rehmat.
