SUKKUR, Feb 26: Parents and relatives of children arrested on the charge of setting ablaze two churches held a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Sunday, demanding their release.

The protesters held police responsible for the incidents, saying they had failed to nab the actual culprits and arrested innocent youths following pressure form higher authorities.

They alleged that the arrested people had been kept in the central jail like hardened criminals.

Mothers of some of the arrested children, including Naseem Ahmad Shaikh, Arshad Ali and Fahimuddin, demanded that the Sindh governor and the chief minister should constitute a high-level judicial and police committee to probe into matter. They also demanded release of their children.
