West is expanding conflict in region, Iraqi PM adviser warns

An advisor to Iraq’s prime minister, Fadi Al-Shammari, warned that the West is expanding the conflict between Israel and Hamas and increasing tensions in the region, the state news agency INA reported, according to Reuters.

His comments came after the United States and Britain launched strikes from the air and sea against Houthi military targets in Yemen in response to the movement’s attacks on ships in the Red Sea in protest over Israel’s bombardment of Gaza.
