Facilities to enhance livestock output

GILGIT, Feb 25: The government is making all out efforts to increase the production of livestock in the country and various measures have been taken to keep animals healthy in the area, official sources said.

Sources told APP here on Saturday that the government had initiated a veterinary development project in remote the remote district of Ghizer aimed at generating income from this sector.

A mobile veterinary unit has also been launched to provide maximum opportunities to the people who had a large number of cattle heads in the area. The setting up of this mobile veterinary unit would cost Rs4.5 million, the sources disclosed.—APP
