LAKKI MARWAT, Feb 25: District Coordination Officer Kifayatullah Khan has urged officials of the works and services department to ensure early completion of repair of the Lakki Marwat sub-jail.

During a visit on Saturday to the sub-jail building, which was inundated in a flood in the Gambila river last year, the DCO asked the officials and contractor concerned to accelerate the repair work so that the prisoners, who were shifted to other jails, could be moved back to the sub-jail.

Meanwhile, the Executive District Officer, Works and Services, Asif Iqbal, called upon government contractors to use quality material in development work.

“There will be no compromise on the use of material in the development schemes for ensuring sustainability and durability of the projects,” he told a delegation of the government contractors’ association.
