SWABI: A man allegedly killed his sister in Zaida village here for contracting the second marriage without his consent on Friday, the police and Rescue 1122 officials said.

Fazal Hadi, who married Saima Khan, got registered an FIR with Zaida police station, stating that Jihad Ali came to their house, took out a pistol and shot his sister dead after arguing with her, and escaped.

The police said the deceased had married with Mr Hadi after taking divorce from her first husband, which angered her brother.

The body was shifted to Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital for autopsy.

In another incident, unidentified assailants shot dead a man in the same village on Friday.

Mohammad Tayyab, brother of the deceased, Tawheed Khan, told the police that assailants opened fire at his brother when he stepped out of his house, leaving him critically injured.

He said the injured was taken to Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. He said they had no enmity with anyone.

The police registered an FIR against unidentified attackers.

Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Tariqullah on Friday imposed the Section 144, banning operations of CNG stations from Jan 5 to 31 so as to improve gas pressure for the household/domestic consumers.

In a notification, he warned that violation of the ban would invite punishment under the Section 188 of Pakistan Penal Code.

The consumers had repeatedly complained about gas outage and low pressure since the winter started.
