LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) with the prior approval of the Punjab governor has notified the realignment of three districts and a tehsil of the province attaching them with its regional seats.

A notification issued on the order of Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti says the areas of Bhakkar and Mianwali districts have been withdrawn from LHC principal seat and aligned with Multan bench and Rawalpindi bench, respectively.

Similarly, the territory of entire district Lodhran has been attached to LHC Bahawalpur bench.

The area of Sara-i-Alamgir tehsil of Gujrat district has been withdrawn from the principal seat and attached to Rawalpindi bench.

The notification said all judicial cases pertaining to the districts and tehsil in question pending at the respective benches or principal seat of the LHC shall stand transferred to the readjusted areas falling within the territorial jurisdiction of the allied benches.
