Sumaiya to lead Hyderabad

HYDERABAD Feb 23: A 16-member squad of the Hyderabad region women cricket team following two days trial at the PCB Rani Bagh Academy ground was announced on Thursday.

The players selected are: Sumaiya Siddiqui (captain), Sajida Shah (vice captain), Sajida Shah, Lubna Gulzar, Tajwar Farhana, Pashnam Habib, Naureen Sahar, Saira Zakir, Hira Khan, Sabeen Siddiqui, Hina Khan, Nausheen Channa, Kiran Baloch, Humaira Nazeer and Nazia Rasool.

Standbys: Tahseen Channa, Aneela Mahwesh, Uzma Moona and Urooj Chandio.

Bashra Arif was named manager while Syed Mahfooz Ali Shah was named as coach of the team.

The selection committee comprised Yar Mohammad Solangi, Shakeel Ahmed Qureshi and Rahat Ali Shah.
