The Israeli army says a fighter jet was involved in a mission to kill a Hamas commander in Khan Younis, Al Jazeera reports. It did not provide an update on whether the mission was successful.
Israeli naval forces struck several Hamas positions where fighters had fired on Israeli ground forces.
The army also claimed to have located a stock of Hamas’ weapons in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza.
