KASUR: A 60-year-old man allegedly raped a minor girl on Saturday at village Thithi Hindvan in the limits of Kanganpur police station.

Villagers overpowered the suspect and handed him over to police.

According to police, a seven-year-old girl was playing in the street when the suspect took her to a cattle pen and subjected her to rape. Some villagers overpowered the suspect and handed him over to the police.

BURNT ALIVE: A three-year old boy was burnt alive as the room of the house where he was sleeping, caught fire due to the flicker of a candle on Saturday at village Sheikh Bhago in Saddar police precincts.

According to police, wife of labourer Ishaq had lit a candle in the room when electricity supply disrupted. A blanket lying near the candle caught fire which engulfed the room as a result Faheem (3) was burnt alive.

INJURED: Robbers shot at and injured a petrol pump owner on Saturday at village Daokay in the limits of Mandi Usmanwala police station.

Two obbers held cashier of the petrol pump owned by Ali Raza at gunpoint. One of the robbers shot at and injured him when he tried to overpower him. Raza suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.
