Labour politician Gilad Kariv has said that Israel’s final goal must be the establishment of a “sovereign, viable Palestinian framework in [the occupied West Bank] and Gaza, alongside a Jewish and democratic State of Israel”, Al Jazeera reports, citing the Times of Israel.
Speaking at a conference, Kariv said that this should happen while Israel maintains “necessary security arrangements”.
He added that the Israeli left must unify to offer a clear vision of a post-war scenario for the country.
