ISLAMABAD, Feb 22: Hundreds of women and children on Wednesday added their voice to the international outbursts of anger against the publication of blasphemous cartoons by staging a sit-in and a rally at Aabpara Chowk.

The protest was organised by the women wing of Jamaat-i- Islami. Several MNAs and senators of the religious parties participated in the protest. They included MNAs Jamila Ahmad, Samiha Raheel Qazi, Kaneez Ayesha, Bilqees Saif, Anayat Begum, Razia Aziz, Senator Kausar Firdaus and JI Islamabad women wing in charge Nuzhat Bhatti.

The protesters were waving banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the western countries calling them as international terrorists.

In their speeches, the women leaders said every Muslim was ready to sacrifice his life for the sake of Holy Prophet (PBUH).
