The US military’s Central Command (Centcom) reports that a rocket was fired at al-Assad Air Base in Iraq, which hosts US and other international forces, in what appears to be the latest attack by Iranian-backed groups.
Centcom said no injuries or damage were sustained by the rocket, which was fired at the air base earlier on Wednesday.
Iraqi security forces later seized a flatbed truck that had been modified to launch rockets, the US command said on social media.
