Hossein Amirabdollahian has arrived in the Qatari capital, his fourth visit in the past two and a half months, Al Jazeera reports.

The Iranian foreign minister met with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh to discuss the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.

According to Nasser Kanaani, spokesman of the Iranian foreign Ministry, Haniyeh said: “We are ready for a lasting ceasefire, but there is no way for negotiations under Israel’s attacks.”

Moreover, Kanaani said: “Iran agrees with the government of Qatar regarding the need to immediately stop Israel’s war against the people of Gaza, and good joint efforts have been made in this regard.”
