Crackdown on quacks in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH, Feb 21: The district health department on Tuesday started an operation against quacks. A team formed by the EDO health conducted raids on ‘clinics’ of different quacks in Taj Colony, Gharibabad, Market road and Manuabad.

The team issued strict warnings to quacks for not being qualified to run ‘clinics’.

The team comprises Dr Abdul Qadir Khanzado and Dr Farooq Shaikh.

Dr Farooq Shaikh said that raids would be conducted in the entire district and reports would be submitted to the EDO health for necessary legal action against quacks.

PROTEST: Residents of Lagan Khan Lund village held a demonstration outside the press club on Tuesday in protest against Hesco for issuing inflated bills.

The protesters were carrying placards and raising slogans against Hesco.

They said that Hesco sub-division, Daur, was issuing inflated bills to consumers without checking meters.—BoC
