QUETTA, Feb 21: A session of the Balochistan Assembly summoned for Feb 27 has been postponed. A statement issued by the assembly secretariat on Tuesday said that the session would now be held on March 15.

The governor had first convened the session for Dec 17, 2005. It but was postponed to Jan 17, then to Jan 20 and again to Feb 27. Leader of the Opposition in the Balochistan Assembly Kachkol Ali said that the government which had launched military operations in Dera Bugti and Kohlu could not face the opposition in the house.

He said the government wanted to keep on postponing the session till the military operation was completed. He said he had held talks with Senior Minister Maulana Wasay and told him that the assembly session should be held to debate the issues faced by the province.
