More than two million civilians in Gaza are lacking the very basic necessities including food and water, Palestine Red Crescent spokesperson Nebal Farsakh said.

In an interview with WION, she stated that the aid received since the beginning of the hostilities was insufficient to meet even 10 per cent of the needs in the Palestinian enclave.

“The entire population of Gaza are struggling to get food, water, medicines and even medical care since most of the hospitals are already out of service,” Farsakh said, adding that the functioning facilities were overwhelmed with patients.

“The situation, whether in north, centre or south, is heart breaking,” the PRCS spokesperson emphasised.
