University students staged a demonstration in the German capital to show solidarity with the Palestinian people, Anadolu Agency reports.

Gathering in front of Humboldt University in Berlin, they protested against Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.

Criticising the German government’s support for Israel, the crowd chanted pro-Palestinian slogans while holding signs. Anti-Israel Jewish protesters were among the crowd, which faced a counter-protest by people carrying Israeli flags.

Speaking to Anadolu, one of the students, Gregor Kahl, said hundreds of people took part in the gathering to reject the “genocide in Gaza.”
