KARACHI, Feb 21: Three ships carrying containers and seeds were berthed at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, a PQA press release said on Tuesday. Meanwhile, two more ships with coke and edible oil arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 78 per cent as seven ships, Santa Monica, Sealand Freedom, Glory, Astron Spirit, Euro Ace, Sita Kathrine and Mar Reina, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, wheat, seeds, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 58,372 tons comprising 47,655 tons of import and 10,717 tons of export tonnage was handled. Sailing was active as Eddy Stone, Santa Monica, Astro Spirit and Sita Kathrene left the port while Glory was due to depart.
