MIRAMSHAH, Feb 20: Two Uzbeks and a tribesman were killed, while another local resident was injured after foreign militants clashed with Dawar tribesmen in Eisokhel village of the North Waziristan Agency here on Monday.

Sources said an armed clash had taken place in Eisokhel village, some two kilometres north of Mirali, when two Uzbek militants shot dead a local tribesman Shanzeb Khan.

Following the killing, Khan’s nephew Mohammad Hanif opened fire on their rivals, killing one of them on the spot. He also suffered injuries in the shootout.

Villagers of Eisokhel put cordon around the fleeing militant and killed him after a brief encounter.

The bodies of the militants were brought to the local Eidgah for identification.

Local people said the Toorikhel tribesmen had taken the bodies for burial.

A resident said Shanzeb Khan had warned Uzbek nationals a few days ago not to move in their area.
