Marwan Al-Hams, director of the Abu Youssef al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah, has said the medics have been receiving around 1,500 cases of intestinal diseases every day due to food shortages, Al Jazeera reports.
“Smallpox cases have been reported in children. Diarrhoea and influenza are [also] spreading among the displaced people in Rafah. There has been no transfer or travel of patients through the Rafah crossing today,” he added.
