Gaza crisis ‘worst situation I’ve ever seen’: UN agency official

Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has said that the ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza is “definitely the worst situation” he has ever seen.

Noting the large number of people killed, 90 per cent of the population being displaced, he said the situation was of a “catastrophic nature.
