QUETTA: The local administration deployed a heavy contingent of police and other security forces, sealing the red zone area of the provincial capital on Monday evening before the arrival of the long march participants protesting against the killing of Balaach Mola Bakhsh in the CTD encounter in Turbat.

Hundreds of people, including family members of Mr Balaach and women, reached Mastung town on Monday.

The local administration placed heavy containers on roads leading to the Red Zone, where the Governor and Chief Minister houses, civil secretariat, and officials of other important institutions are located.

Meanwhile, a division bench of the Balochistan High Court, comprising Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Nazeer Ahmed Langove, ordered the suspension of four CTD officials nominated in the FIR registered against them in connection with the killing.

Mola Bakhsh, the victim’s father, had filed a petition in the high court praying for registering an FIR against the CTD officials.
