With the ongoing bombardment of Gaza now in its third month, 22-year-old Alia Kassan, a Gaza resident, says she has become accustomed to the constant sound of the attacks, Al Jazeera reports.

“I used to panic. Now I feel nothing,” she told the news outlet. “Bombs are like a melody that I listen to every day. I am no longer scared of dying.”

Kassan said the ongoing fighting also upended her education, as she was only two months shy of graduating from the Islamic University of Gaza when the bombardment of Gaza started.
