England win tour opener

MUMBAI, Feb 20: England made a winning start to their Indian tour with a 238-run victory over the Cricket Club of India in the three-day practice match on Monday. The hosts, set 314 to win after tea on the final day, were skittled out for 75 in their second innings off just 26.2 overs.

Simon Jones, Steve Harmison, Monty Panesar and Ian Blackwell grabbed two wickets each to light up a game that appeared headed for a tame draw.
