Lyari Brothers, Victory Sports triumph

KARACHI, Feb 20: Lyari Brothers and Victory Sports moved ahead after penalty shootout victories in the All-Pakistan Shaheed-i-Millat Liaquat Ali Khan soccer on Monday.

Lyari Brothers defeated Malir National 4-2 on penalty kicks after both sides were locked at 1-1 during regulation time.

Iftikhar Ahmad slammed home for Lyari Brothers in the 16th minute while Mehraj Ahmad equalised for Malir National in the 63rd minute.

Victory Sports beat Shahzad Mohammadan 4-3 on penalty shootout after remaining 1-1 after stipulation time.

Mohammad Shoaib opened the scoring in the 27th minute for Victory Sports before Fazal Ahmad levelled with a 32nd-minute strike.
