Hamas attacks do not justify Israel’s punishment of Palestinians: Russia FM

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said it is not acceptable for Israel to use Hamas’ surprise attack on October 7 as justification for the collective punishment of the Palestinian people and called for international monitoring on the ground in Gaza, Reuters reports.
