Blood tests carried out on some of the released Israeli captives have shown signs of viruses, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reports. It said the results illustrate the amount of diseases spreading in Gaza’s water supply.
UN agencies have long warned the risk of diseases spreading in Gaza due to lack of clean water after all key sanitation services ceased operating. In a report last week, the WHO recorded an increase in infectious diseases, including scabies, diarrhoea and signs of hepatitis.
