KARACHI, Feb 20: Eight vessels carrying containers, steel cargo and to load vehicles and molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Sagamor, Nefeli-1, Orient Independence and Thor Captain, to unload and load containers, Mercs Ruhunu, to unload soyabean meal, Poppy and NCC Riyad, to offload oil and chemicals.

Six ships, MOL Silver Fern, Sagamor, PONL Buenos Aires, Iron Butterfly, Dubai Fortune and NCC Riyad departed on Monday, while Gulf Boat, Harima-2, Badulu Valley, Benefit Wisdom, Pu He, Lilac and Gardena Ace are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity on the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.147m tons comprising 40,023 tons of export cargo including 3,824 tons of rice and 0.107m tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Hansaland to load 179 vehicles, Warbah, with 49,000 tons of high speed diesel, Asdrubal, to load 12,050 tons of molasses, APL Orchid, Argounautm, Eax Sanctity, to unload and load containers, and Han Zhong Men and Parsaian, to offload steel cargo.
