Tehsil budget

KOHAT, Feb 19: The Kohat tehsil nazim presented a budget of more than Rs90 million for 2005-6 in the tehsil council on Saturday.

The nazim, Dilbar Khan, informed the council members about the details of development and non-development expenditure. In the budget, total development and non-development expenditure has been put at Rs93,012,400 against Rs 93,303,80 from different sources.

An amount of Rs25.4 million has been allocated for development activities, including ‘construction of plazas and shops’.

A break-up of non-development expenditure shows Rs4.5 million for petroleum and lubricants, Rs8 million for payment of electricity bills, Rs2,250,000 for repairs and maintainence, Rs 400,000 for commutation to retired staff, Rs289,000 for running expenses and Rs6,730,000 for miscellaneous expenditure.—Correspondent
