FAISALABAD, Feb 19: Tandlianwala police have registered a case against unknown ‘terrorists’ for throwing explosives at the official residence of a civil judge.

The case has been registered on the report of Zahid Husain, a clerk of the Tandlianwala civil court, under Section 324 of the PPC, 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act and 4/5 of the Explosive Substance Act against the unidentified accused.

The complainant said he along with civil judge Jawed Iqbal Ranjha and some lawyers were present in the court when they heard the sound of an explosion. He said they rushed to the residence of the civil judge and found almost all the furniture and walls of rooms destroyed.

He said family members of the judge were making a hue and cry and scores of people had also gathered there.

A member of the bomb disposal squad, Noor Muhammad, told the police that it was a bomb blast. No arrest had been made.
