Three Israeli soldiers have been wounded in an exchange of fire overnight at the Israel-Lebanon border, Al Jazeera reports.

The military said it responded by attacking areas inside Lebanon after one of its posts was targeted by several mortar launches.

Skirmishes along the frontier have been ongoing since the star of the war, but while they have increased in intensity they have largely been limited in scope and geography. Most of the exchanges have also been limited to military targets.

Yet, there have been casualties. Since October 7, at least 87 Hezbollah fighters and 15 civilians, including four journalists, have been killed.
