KARACHI: Jam calls on Arbab

KARACHI, Feb 19: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousuf called on his Sindh counterpart Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim at the Chief Minister’s House here on Sunday and exchanged views on matters of mutual interests.

Jam Yousuf apprised Dr Arbab of the measures being taken by his government to maintain law and order in the province.

He said that work on different development projects in Gwadar and other parts of Balochistan was under way at an accelerated pace. The construction of Gwadar Port would usher in an era of prosperity and progress in Balochistan, he added.

Dr Arbab said that the country would achieve the new goals of sustainable development under the dynamic leadership of President Pervez Musharraf. He assured Jam Yousuf of full cooperation from Sindh government in the promotion of effective inter-provincial contacts.

Chief Secretary Balochistan K.B. Rind was also present at the meeting.—APP
