The Palestinian Red Crescent says it is “deeply concerned” for Awni Khattab, the head of Khan Younis Emergency Medical Center, after he was arrested by the Israeli forces. His whereabouts remain unknown.
“The arrest took place while the convoy of the wounded from Al-Shifa Hospital was travelling through the Wadi Gaza checkpoint,” the PRCS wrote on X.
It demands the release of Khattab along with three other medical workers who are under arrest.
