HYDERABAD, Feb 18: Four members of a family were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a coach and a van on the National Highway near Hatri on Saturday morning.

Van passengers Suresh Kumar, 36, Lal Kumar, 26 and Sagar, 12, died on the spot and Rovesha, daughter of Suresh Kumar, died in a hospital.

The injured were identified as Mohammad Aslam, Maweet, Rita Bai and Bhagwanti. Two of them are said to be in critical condition.

The coach was on its way to Karachi and the van was going from Hyderabad to Shahdadpur when they collided.

The bodies and the injured were taken to the Hyderabad Civil Hospital by Edhi volunteers. All of them, except for van driver Mohammad Aslam, were residents of Shahdadpur.
