Palestinians in Gaza are reporting being shot at by the Israeli army while visiting their destroyed homes in the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood, south of Gaza City, Al Jazeera reports.

One of the Palestinians said it was the fourth time he had tried to return to the area to inspect what remained of his home.

“We have been shot at. At the very least, we need to get our belongings and clothes from our homes so that we can protect ourselves from the cold in the shelter.”

Al Jazeera reported two shooting incidents amid the ongoing truce between Israel and Hamas. Israeli forces opened fire on a Palestinian boat as well as shelling the coast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza at dawn.
